vivo has officially introduced the vivo V50 Lite in the Philippines, a more budget-friendly version of the vivo V50 5G.
While it is priced just a little over half the cost of its V50 5G variant, it doesn’t fall short. How?
The V50 Lite featured a whopping 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, paired with the same 90W FlashCharge found on the standard V50 5G. The V50 Lite also brings in several AI-powered tools in this device. And that is what we’re going to explore in this article.
First things first, the vivo V50 Lite comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2392 × 1080. It also features an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
In terms of build, the device weighs 197 grams and is 7.79mm thick, making it easy to handle. For durability, the V50 Lite is rated IP65 water and dust-resistant, which means it’s protected from accidental drops, splashes, and dust.
We did some drop and splash tests with the device, but thanks to its 360° drop protection and scratch and wear resistance, we were still able to use it without any issues after the test. With this, everyday accidents like water splashes while washing dishes, sudden rain, or dropping it in a rush won’t be an issue.
Now, onto the cameras. The vivo V50 Lite is equipped with a 50MP main camera using the IMX882 CMOS sensor, paired with a 120° 8MP wide-angle camera. On the front, it features a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera, perfect for clear and detailed self-portraits.
Even though it’s a Lite version of the vivo V50, it still includes essential camera modes like Live Photo, Time Lapse, Dual View, Pro Mode, and more.
Looking at the rear camera results, the vivo V50 Lite delivers impressive shots with pleasing and natural-looking colors. From my experience, the photos have just the right amount of color, not too saturated, and not pale, which makes them great for everyday photography.

Speaking of cameras, it’s not a vivo phone without the Aura Light. Even when taking photos at night, the Aura Light helps brighten your shots, making sure the subject looks clear, blur-free, and not distorted. Below are some of the low-light sample shots we took.
Meanwhile, the 32MP selfie shooter doesn’t disappoint either. It captures clear and detailed selfies that are more than enough for social media use, and video calls.

The vivo V50 Lite also introduces a new and improved AI Image Studio, designed to make photo editing faster and more user-friendly.
The AI Image Studio offers a new AI Erase 2.0 that helps in removing unwanted objects and bystanders. You can check our edited and unedited photos using AI Erase 2.0. To use this feature, just go to Albums, then click Edit, and tap on Remove people.
Meanwhile, the AI Photo Enhance helps in revitalizing old photos. It doesn’t only revive old photos, but it also works great for fixing faded or blurry images. You can refer to our photo below. What do you think?

Speaking of AI, the vivo V50 Lite also comes with other helpful AI features like AI Global Translate and AI Live Text, which makes it easier for Filipinos traveling abroad to understand different languages. This feature is also great for anyone learning a new language, as it lets you easily translate words into your preferred language.
To use this feature, swipe left for the sidebar, tap the bottom arrow, and select Screen Translation. For camera translation, tap the top-left button and choose Translate.
It doesn’t stop there. The vivo V50 Lite also has AI Circle to Search, which lets you easily circle a product to compare prices, a word for its meaning, or a picture to get more details.
Then there’s the AI SuperLink feature that makes sure you stay connected by switching to the best signal when you’re in places like elevators or parking lots.
Now, let’s talk about what powers the vivo V50 Lite. Inside, it’s got the Dimensity 6300 processor, along with options of 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 15 with Android 15 right out of the box.
For performance, it has an 8-core CPU that helps it handle tasks. Plus, with a whopping 6500 mAh BlueVolt battery and 90W FlashCharge wired charging, you can fully charge the device from 0% to 100% in just 53 minutes.
Meanwhile, in our video loop test, the device lasted for 16 hours and 37 minutes with 50% volume and 50% brightness.
The price? As mentioned, the vivo V50 Lite is priced at PHP 13,999 for the 4G variant with 8GB+256GB configuration. Meanwhile, the 5G variant with 8GB+256GB storage is priced at PHP16,999 and the 12GB+512GB option costs PHP19,999, just a little over half the cost of the V50 5G. It’s available in three different colors, Titanium Gold, Fantasy Purple, and Phantom Black.
