One of the first things you’ll notice is the device’s build quality. The REDMI Pad 2 4G features a sleek metal unibody that feels premium for its price point.
It has a solid, compact construction with a thickness of just 7.36mm, making it comfortable to hold and carry around. It weighs approximately 510 grams, which may seem a bit heavy, but during our usage, we experienced no discomfort.
In terms of design, the tablet sports rounded corners and a soft matte finish that resists fingerprint smudges. The minimalist aesthetic complements its solid build, giving the device an overall premium look and feel.
As for its physical layout, when the device is used in landscape orientation, the power and volume buttons are located on the upper-left corner. Meanwhile, the USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack are placed on the right side. A quad-speaker setup is also present, with two speaker grilles on each side.

The REDMI Pad 2 4G boasts an 11-inch 2.5K IPS LCD screen that has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and is paired with up to a 90Hz refresh rate.
Using it outdoors is not the best, but for 600 nits, this device handles it well.

In terms of their quality, it captures images that are decent. It has ample amounts of detail and sharpness.

I would recommend taking photos in a well-lit environment to avoid softness and noise around the images.
When it comes to its video recording, it can only shoot up to 1080P@30FPS on both the rear and front cameras.
Now, let’s have a look at its power. Under the hood, the REDMI Pad 2 4G is powered by a MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra.
Our review unit comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It offers storage expansion via microSD and supports up to 2TB. It is a Wi-Fi-only device and is equipped with Wi-Fi 5.
As a daily driver, the REDMI Pad 2 4G handles it well. It is responsive and smooth, plus it can also handle a bit of multitasking. We also tried gaming, and so far we enjoyed it. There are some noticeable performance drops, but they are usually bearable.
Benchmark Results
As for its battery, it is backed by a 9000mAh battery capacity paired with 18W charging.
During our video loop test, it lasted us about 16 hours and 12 minutes. When it comes to charging, from 0 to 100%, it took us around 2 hours and 27 minutes.
Finally, the price. The REDMI Pad 2 4G has a price of PHP10,499 SRP.
Overall, the REDMI Pad 2 4G is a tablet that you can rely on when it comes to your daily consumption.
You also get a huge high-resolution display that is paired with a huge battery for longer battery life.
Although they could have opted for faster charging. If you are eyeing a new affordable tablet, then I would recommend adding the REDMI Pad 2 4G to your list.
