Qualcomm has officially introduced the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, its newest mobile processor under the 7-series lineup.
The platform is built to improve everyday smartphone tasks, including gaming, photography, and on-device AI features.
Compared to the previous generation, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 offers a 27% boost in CPU performance, 30% faster GPU rendering, and up to 65% better AI performance.
It also includes support for on-device generative AI features like large language models (LLMs) and image generation using stable diffusion.
The new chip comes with select features from Snapdragon Elite Gaming and Snapdragon Sound, and it is the first in the 7-series to support Qualcomm’s Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN), previously only found in the 8-series.
HONOR and vivo also officially announced that their upcoming smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform.
