MediaTek is expected to launch the Dimensity 9400+ chipset on April 11, according to tipster Digital Chat Station.
The upgraded chip will have a prime Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.7GHz, slightly higher than the standard Dimensity 9400’s 3.62GHz.
Dimensity 7400 and 7400X Chipset
Meanwhile, MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 7400 and 7400X last February 2025. These chipsets are built on TSMC’s 4nm process with an octa-core CPU (4x Cortex-A78 @ 2.6GHz + 4x Cortex-A55).
They feature a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, support for LPDDR5 RAM (up to 6400Mbps), and UFS 3.1 storage.
The MiraVision 955 engine enables WFHD+ 120Hz and Full HD+ 144Hz displays. The Imagiq 950 ISP supports up to 200MP cameras and 4K HDR video at 30fps. Connectivity includes 5G (3.27 Gbps), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4. AI performance is boosted by the APU 655, while UltraSave 3.0+ cuts gaming power usage by 36%.
There’s no official release update yet, but a new leak suggests that vivo is developing multiple devices with Dimensity 9400+, while iQOO is also reportedly working on the Neo 10s Pro+ with the same processor.
