MediaTek has officially launched its new chipset this month, and it’s the latest 4G chipset, the Helio G200.
According to TECNO, the upcoming TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ will be the first to ship with the Helio G200.
The chip is built with an octa-core CPU, combining 2x Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz, optimized through heterogeneous multi-processing for better power efficiency.
TECNO announces that the chip reached around 470,000 on AnTuTu, about 10% better than its predecessor. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU has also been improved slightly, now running at 1.1GHz, compared to 1.0GHz on older models like the Helio G99 and G100.
For connectivity, MediaTek Helio G200 features Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.2.
Another new feature is DC SAR (Dynamic Communication Smart Adaptive Response), designed to improve network performance in poor signal conditions.
Full details on the TECNO Spark 40 Pro+ are still under wraps, but more information is expected. The TECNO Spark 40 series is set to launch globally this July 2025.
